London, January 19 (RHC)-- In the aftermath of the recent terror attacks in Europe, concerns are rising over the emergence of a wave of anti-Muslim violence across the world. Some analysts believe that certain Western powers are already utilizing the recent events in France, Belgium and elsewhere to put Muslims under pressures.

Danny Makki, a London-based Middle East expert, has told Press TV that the recent incidents -- specifically the attack on Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine in Paris -- have provided the West with ammunition to pursue interventionist policies in the Middle East and North Africa.

"The recent attacks which were committed by an extreme minority have allowed for the Western world to target Muslim more often. And what it does essentially allows for greater, more broad Western intervention in the Middle East and Arab world," Makki said.

"And, this is in essence, you could argue as one of the aims of Western governments, for more surveillance on Muslim communities, to create this kind of fear factor ...[that would allow the West to have] more rights to intervene on the policies of Muslims," he told Press TV's UK Desk in an exclusive interview.

Makki further warned that the Western countries could suffer from utilizing the recent terror attacks in Europe in their own favor and against Muslims. "This is very damaging policy, which in essence could backlash. It could also initiate a blowback, where these hard policies create huge problems, interracial problems within the Western society and the Western community."
