Washington, July 3 (RHC)-- The Barack Obama administration has launched an antitrust investigation into airlines in the United States.

The U.S. Justice Department is looking into whether the airlines colluded to limit seating and thereby increase fares. Following a series of mergers which were approved by the Justice Department, about 80 percent of air traffic in the United States is now controlled by just four airlines.
