Quito, August 7 (RHC) -– The Confederation of Indigenous Peoples and Peasant Organizations of Ecuador voiced its support for the Citizen's Revolution project promoted by the government of President Rafael Correa, and his call for a national dialogue to resolve political disagreements.
In a resolution issued by the confederation that groups some 350 organizations throughout the country, its members rejected the destabilization efforts by some opposition factions in the country and urged those who have taken part in anti-government actions to reflect on their positions and not let themselves be fooled.
The document also underlines that Ecuador now has a government that answers to the people, in a nation that has changed for the better, for justice, inclusion and democracy.
