La Paz, September 2 (RHC)-- The Confederation of Miners in the Bolivian department of Chuquisaca has joined the campaign for the re-election of President Evo Morales beyond the year 2020.
The union's Executive Secretary Gualberto Herrera expressed their unconditional support for President Morales and added that they will join any initiative by the country's social organizations toward facilitating a third mandate for the first ever indigenous president of the Plurinational State of Bolivia.
The proposal to extend the presidential mandate of Evo Morales for another five years first emerged two months ago, during the regional congress of the ruling Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) party in Cochabamba Department. The move was later echoed during a similar meeting in Oruro, a western city of the Andean country.
