Mexico City, October 23 (RHC)-- Mexico is bracing for the worst-ever hurricane recorded in the Western Hemisphere. The Category 5 Hurricane Patricia is expected to make landfall on Mexico’s southern Pacific Coast.

Experts warn the storm could be "potentially catastrophic." The World Meteorological Organization says it’s as strong as Typhoon Haiyan, which killed 6,300 people in the Philippines in 2013.
