Quito, November 7 (teleSUR-RHC)-- The Union of South American Nations (UNSASUR) said its electoral mission to monitor Venezuela’s December 6th legislative elections has been approved. UNASUR General Secretary Ernesto Samper said the mission of 50 to 60 will be “technical” and will oversee the electoral process in various Venezuelan cities. The mission aims to guarantee transparency during the highly-anticipated elections. Almost 20 million Venezuelans are registered to vote. They will be electing 167 lawmakers to their country’s parliament.
