Brasilia, February 6 (RHC-teleSUR), -- Social movements organized under the banner of the Popular Front expressed their “repudiation” of efforts to link former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to a corruption scandal. Last month, investigators looking into a corruption scandal involving the state-owned oil company called on Lula and his wife to testify regarding beach-side apartments that authorities suspect may have been used as bribes and to launder money. The Popular Front accused investigators of being selective about how they were carrying out their investigation into the corruption scandal, deliberately targeting the former president and his Workers' Party.
