Havana, August 31 (RHC)-- Seventeen medical doctors have returned home to the Solomon Islands, after graduating from medical schools in Cuba. The group consists of four female and 13 male doctors.
The newly graduated doctors were welcomed by representatives from the Ministry of Education - National Training Unit (NTU), Solomon Cuba Student Family Association (SCSFA), family members, and friends on their arrival Wednesday at Henderson International Airport.
In welcoming the young health professionals, Rose Kudi, an official with the National Training Unit of the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development, thanked the Cuban government and people for their cooperation, particularly in the fields of education and health care.
