Havana, January 11 (RHC) Cuban and Portuguese authorities reviewed the island’s medical program in the European nation and reiterated their interest in maintaining the bilateral agreement in that field.
Portuguese Health minister Paulo Macedo and Cuban ambassador Johana Tablada described as positive the work of 39 Cuban health professionals currently offering their services in 18 Portuguese cities.
The Cuban professionals are working at health centers and other facilities in remote areas in tune with the contract signed by the Cuban Medical Services department and Portugal’s Health Ministry.
