Havana, January 20 (RHC)-- Cuban President Raúl Castro has sent condolences to Kyrgyzstan President Almazbek Atambayef over an air accident there that claimed the lives of some 40 people near Bishkek, the capital.
A Turkish cargo plane flying from Hong Kong to Istanbul plunged to the ground as it was about to land at Bishek's Manas International Airport, where it was to refuel.
The Kyrgyz transport prosecutor’s office has launched a criminal investigation into the catastrophe. Preliminary findings seem to to point to human error.
