Geneva, May 9 (RHC/Prensa Latina)-- At the UN headquarters in Geneva, Cuba voiced its readiness to contribute in the preparations for the 11th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO), to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Speaking at the meeting of WTO heads of delegations, Ambassador Pedro Luis Pedroso said Cuba will continue to actively work with a view to the gathering, under the premises of multi-lateralism, a comprehensive approach to development, transparency, inclusiveness and decision-making by consensus.
Ambassador Pedroso also said that in order to advance towards the Buenos Aires meeting, showing tangible results on the pending issues was crucial.
The WTO's 11th Ministerial Conference is scheduled for Buenos Aires later this year, from December 11th to the 14th. The ministerial conference is the top decision making body of the World Trade Organization.
