San Juan, June 17 (RHC)-- The Communist Party of Puerto Rico lashed out at the new Cuba policy of U.S. President Donald Trump, who reverted agreements toward improved relations with Cuba signed by his predecessor Barack Obama.

The Puerto Rican communists described Trump's stance on Cuba as arrogant, saying it seeks to impose Washington's hegemony interests on the Caribbean nation towards hampering Cuba's widely recognized achievements in several fields.

They further said Trump's move aims to reinforce a proven failed policy that has negatively affected both Cuba and the U.S., without achieving its desired purpose -- that of bringing the Cuban people down to their knees.
