Havana, June 23 (RHC)-- Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota Tina Smith pledged in Havana the commitment of that U.S. State with Cuba, despite President Donald Trump's announced Cuba policy shift.
Lieutenant Governor Smith rejected the latest anti-Cuba remarks by President Trump, in which he announced plans to reverse former President Barack Obama's trade and travel regulations regarding Cuba.
The U.S. state official expressed support for the process toward normalized U.S.-Cuba ties, and called for joint development efforts in sectors like agriculture, education, health and culture.
