Managua, July 17 (RHC)-- The head of the Department of International Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Jose Ramon Balaguer, has pointed out that Cuba and Nicaragua are brother nations.
Balaguer is in Managua, the Nicaraguan capital, to participate in the 23rd meeting of the Sao Paulo Forum, which concludes Tuesday.
The Cuban leader said he was pleased to meet with President Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo during his stay in Managua. He also said that the ties of friendship and solidarity between the two countries will continue to strengthen, with the hope of achieving the well-being of their peoples.
Balaguer, who is attending the forum of left-wing parties and progressive movements as the head of the Cuban delegation, has planned a broad program of activities in Nicaragua, among which are the festivities for the 38th anniversary of the Popular Sandinista Revolution.
