Havana, February 6 (RHC)-- The programming of Miami Radio, which has included information and opinions on Cuba for many years, is now off-the-air, according to Miami-based Cuban journalist Andres Gomez.
Due to “economic reasons,” Radio Miami and our daily programming will not be on-the-air anymore, said Gomez in an article that reached RHC's newsroom. He said that the radio station that beamed the programming, produced by Max Lesnik, was sold to another company, which does not accept that alternative work as part of its scheduled programming.
Radio Miami offered its audience an alternative vision on Cuban society and the differences between the two governments, as well as the terrible impact by U.S. policy on the development and wellbeing of the Cuban people, Gomez explained –- adding that such programming is quite different from what is usually broadcast in Miami about the island and its reality.
Radio Miami carried the alternative programming for more than 10 years. Listeners of the radio station can now access audio and articles at www.radio-miami.org.
