Bogota, November 8 (RHC)-- The Colombian Movement of Solidarity with Cuba has called for the Thirty Seventh National Meeting of Solidarity with the Caribbean country from the 16th to 19th of November in the city of Barranquilla.
Pedro Polo, president of the movement, told reporters that there will be a broad representation at the meeting of solidarity groups from various Colombian cities, such as Bogota, Cali, Medellin, Armenia, Barranquilla, Palmira, Popayán, Cartagena and Bucaramanga.
He added that delegations from Venezuela and Argentina, as well as personalities, young people and intellectuals from Cuba -- whose delegation will be headed by José Luis Ponce, Cuban ambassador to Colombia -- and other officials have been invited.
According to Polo, the legacy of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, will be deepened through lectures and workshops at the event.
