Managua, November 24 (RHC)-- The activities in posthumous tribute to Fidel Castro continued Friday in Nicaragua. Throughout the week, other activities, meetings and academic exchanges have been taking place on the occasion of the first anniversary of the death of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
The distinguished Nicaraguan intellectual Francisco Lacayo, former representative of UNESCO in Havana, will give a keynote address with the title 'Commander Fidel Castro Ruz and Education, Science, Technology and Innovation for Social and Human Transformation'.
There was also a children's painting contest that included the values of Fidel, among other academic and sports activities.
Thursday, the Autonomous University of Nicaragua conferred on Fidel Castro the title of Doctor Honoris Causa, for his contributions in the political, social, cultural and humanistic fields.
