Beijing, November 29 (RHC-Minrex)-- The Director of the International Press Center, Alberto González Casals, was received on Tuesday by Lu Kang, general director of the Information Department of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting took place within the framework of consultations on the press and communications. It took place in a friendly atmosphere and also included the participation of the Ambassador of Cuba in China, Miguel Ángel Ramírez Ramos.
The Cuban delegation took the opportunity to thank their Chinese counterparts for their support of Cuba in the fight against the U.S. blockade of the island. They also expressed the gratitude of the Cuban government and people for the unforgettable visit of President Xi Jinping to the Embassy of Cuba in Beijing to honor the memory of Fidel Castro.
Director Lu Kang reiterated China's support for Cuba's fight against the U.S. blockade, and reaffirmed the friendship between both countries and peoples. He also reaffirmed the excellent state of bilateral relations and the high level of political dialogue.
The Cuban delegation's agenda included meetings with the President of the Xinhua news agency, Cai Mingzhao, as well as with directors of the international channel CGTN.
