Rome, December 2 (RHC)-- A demonstration of solidarity with Cuba took place Saturday in the Italian city of Milan to demand the lifting of Washington's blockade and the return to Cuba of the territory occupied by the U.S. naval base at Guantánamo.
Organized by the National Italy-Cuba Friendship Association, the march culminated in the central Plaza Cairoli, where the closing rally was held.
With the solidarity demonstration, organizers of the action to support Cuba hoped to break the media silence on the human and material damages caused to the island by the U.S. blockade.
