Havana, February 26 (RHC)-- A Cultural Festival will be held in Cairo in the second trimester of this year, as part of a joint plan between Cuba and Egypt.
The coordination of the festival was agreed during a meeting between Cuba’s ambassador to that Arab nation, Otto Vaillant, and Egyptian Deputy Culture Minister Camila Sobhi, in which the good state of cultural relations was analyzed.
Vailland and Sobhi agreed to identify mechanisms to continue developing them and to work to achieve the presentation of bilateral cultural expressions, reported on Tuesday diplomatic sources cited by the Prensa Latina news agency.
The Cuban ambassador expressed his appreciation for the support of the Culture Ministry of the North African country in the promotion of Cuban culture, and recalled the presentations in Egypt of Cuba’s National Ballet Company and the Lizt Alfonso Dance Company.
Examples of the art of painter Arturo Montoto and jazzman Alejandro Falcon have also been enjoyed by Egyptians.
