Riyadh, May 18 (RHC)-- In a follow-up of agreements signed in Havana last month, a Cuban medical delegation is in Saudi Arabia, headed by Deputy Health Minister Luis Fernando Navarro.
The Cuban official and his delegation were received in the Saudi Ministry of Health and also met with the Saudi Food and Drugs Authority. They also toured the King Fahd Medical City and a primary care center in Riyadh, the Saudi capital.
The working visit gives a follow-up to agreements signed in Havana last month between Saudi Health Minister Tawfiq Al-Rabiah and his Cuban counterpart Roberto Morales.
Since 2014, a health cooperation program has been in place between Cuba and Saudi Arabia through which hundreds of Cuban doctors and health specialists have been serving in the Arab nation.
