Havana, June 11 (RHC)-- Cuban reservoirs are functioning well despite the impact of recent heavy rains, according to President of the National Institute of Hydraulic resources, Inés María Chapman.
Regarding the situation in Sancti Spiritus, Champman noted that water levels rose beyond maximum capacity in all of the province's largest reservoirs.
However, the Cuban official praised the response of territorial authorities and residents, currently immersed in recovery efforts. She also stressed the importance of analyzing experiences in order to better prepare for, and respond to, future extreme weather events.
