Seychelles, October 16 (RHC)-- The International Affairs Commission of the National Assembly of Seychelles issued a statement condemning the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against the Cuban people.
The communique by the legislative of that Indian ocean island-nation calls the US blockade unfair, unnecessary and contrary to the spirit of the United Nations. The Seychelles law-making body renews its rejection of such aggression and demands its immediate cessation.
The statement notes that the National Assembly of Seychelles is grateful for the fact that, in spite of the US blockade,Cuba continues to play a positive and constructive role in international relations and is Seychelles' most favored partner in medical cooperation.
