Havana, November 30 (RHC)-- Raúl Castro, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, received Coronel General Luong Cuong, a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Secretariat and head of the People’s Army Political Department’s directorate, along with the delegation accompanying him, on an official visit to Cuba invited by the Ministry of Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR).
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the excellent state of relations between their peoples, parties, governments, and armed forces.
Also participating on the Cuban side were José Ramón Machado Ventura, Second Secretary of the Communist Party, and Army General Álvaro López Miera.
The delegation completed a full agenda of activities that included visits to military facilities and cultural institutions, among other sites of social and political interest.
