Havana, December 4 (RHC)-- Women executives exchanged this Tuesday with the National Secretariat of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), with the premise of consolidating achievements in gender equality, and committed to the work of the Revolution.

Ministers, directors and other women with high administrative and political responsibilities at the national level participated in the exchange held in the FMC headquarters in Havana.

"If we can talk about advancement, participation, progress in the struggle for full equality, it is thanks to that Revolution, in whose colossal work we women are not only beneficiaries, but protagonists," said Teresa Amarelle Boué, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and general secretary of the FMC.

Among those present at the meeting were Inés María Chapman, Vice President of the Council of Ministers; and Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella, Minister of Education.

During the encounter, the women leaders learned about the work of the FMC after its 10th Congress, and actions undertaken to fulfill its agreements in preparation for the 60th anniversary of the organization, in August next year.
