Havana, May 24 (RHC)-- Cuba's vaccination program against 14 diseases continues amid the confrontation with COVID-19, said Francisco Durán, Director of Epidemiology at the Public Health Ministry.
The Cuban scheme of 11 vaccines, including eight produced nationally, is applied taking into account the age groups of the people who receive this benefit. Dr. Duran specified that, although the polio and flu vaccines have been postponed, other vaccines continue to be applied to the corresponding age groups.
Cuba has a strong National Immunization Program and is an example of how vaccines work.
