Havana, June 18 (RHC)-- The Provincial Defense Council in Havana analyzed this Thursday the measures taken by the city to continue confronting the COVID-19 pandemic.
The president of the Provincial Defense Council, CDP, Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, called for maintaining discipline and said that in Havana this is multiplying exponentially. Torres Iribar reflected on the measures taken in the implementation of the first phase of recovery, which does not include the provinces of Havana and Matanzas.
He stressed the need to take into account the opinions of the people and explained that it is necessary to be respectful of what is stipulated for each phase. Access to beaches, swimming pools and transport will be the most complex situations to face and he explained that they are the most recurrent issues, while he reiterated that none of the measures established for each phase can be ignored and that one must be demanding with the use of the nasobuco (face mask).
He pointed out that the state cars that circulate in the capital carry a rigorous control and the application of severe measures to those who violate what is established.
Iríbar commented that the epidemic is one thing and the work being done to control it is another. He called for raising the perception of risk, which is why the work of the mass organizations and the press is fundamental, and he described the current moment as one of combat.
He explained that the celebration of Father's Day, this Sunday, will be, just like the one for mothers, in the homes.
