Havana, May 8 (RHC) – Bolivia’s ambassador to Cuba, Palmiro Soria, expressed his government’s interest in increasing exchanges with Cuba.

In statements to ACN on the occasion of his country’s participation in the annual Mayo Teatral Theater Festival organized by Havana’s Casa de las Americas cultural institution for May 16-25, he said that he hopes that the two Bolivian companies participating in this Festival -Teatro de los Andes and Kiknteatr- will satisfy Cubans with their presentations in this capital.

He asserted that one of his dreams is to bring the Indigenous Chamber Orchestra to Cuba, which has a lot of strength, with soloists that are matchless for their interpretive quality and music by native authors with symphonic arrangements, and that the multi-national state also has good dance groups.

Teatro de los Andes was founded in 1991 and bring to Havana Hamlet de los Andes, a free version of the classic by William Shakespeare, which establishes an interrelation between actors and the public.

Kiknteatr suggests another version of a text by Shakespeare -Romeo and Juliet of Aramburo - which includes the conflict of young couples in Bolivian and Latin American reality, particularly urban.
