New York, November 13 (RHC)--  The Group of 77 (G-77) plus China rejected on Thursday the implementation by the US of its economic blockade on Cuba.

In its Ministerial Declaration issued at the end of the 44th Meeting of Foreign Ministers, participants dedicated an entire section of the document to reaffirm that the imposition of coercive measures on developing countries does not contribute to the economic and social development of their peoples, no they tools to promote  dialogue and understanding.

The Declaration strongly rejects the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States government on Cuba and demands its immediate lifting.

Likewise, it points out that the full implementation of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act and Washington's measures against Cuba since 2017 only reinforce and intensify the blockade.

In the document, the G-77 plus China also expresses its solidarity and position against the unilateral coercive measures imposed on nations of the group, such as Sudan, Iran, Venezuela, Syria, and the DPRK.
