Cuba exceeds 21,000 cases of Covid-19

Havana, January 25 (RHC)-- Cuba has already surpassed  21 thousand cases of COVID-19. With the 567 new diagnoses made on Sunday, the island was already reporting 21 2828 positive cases and 197 fatalities since the beginning of the pandemic.

The Caribbean nation currently presents very high figures of new infections, among them minors and patients in intensive care units, pointed out Dr. Francisco Durán, national director of Epidemiology.

The expert added that on Sunday, the island´s molecular biology laboratories performed 15 152 PCR tests, the highest number.

At present, Cuba registers the largest pandemic peak with high numbers of daily diagnoses. On Saturday 634 new cases were diagnosed. In just two days almost 1 thousand cases

The national authorities insist on self-responsibility and strict compliance with protection measures to control the disease's spread.
