Havana, June 16 (RHC) Cuban president Raul Castro returned home on Monday after having participated at the Summit of the Group of 77 plus China, held June 14 and 15 in the Bolivian city of Santa Cruz.
The Cuban president and his delegation were welcomed back at the Jose Marti International airport by the Second Secretary of Cuba’s Communist Party Jose Ramon Machado Ventura and Interior Minister Abelardo Colome.
Over the weekend, Raul Castro participated at the Pluri-national and Social Forum of the Peoples at the Tahuichi Aguilera Stadium in Santa Cruz, which preceded the Summit of the Group of 77. He also addressed the plenary session of the summit and held bilateral meetings with other leaders.

Meanwhile, the Declaration of Santa Cruz, adopted by the Group of 77, backs the Cuban struggle and the claim of Argentina over the Malvinas Islands as well as the cause of the Palestinian people.
The document also addresses issues regarding the restructuring of the United Nations, North-South and South-South Cooperation, climate change, trade, disarmament, and food security.
