Foreign Entrepreneurs Increasingly Interested in the Cuban Market

Havana, June 21 (RHC)-- The Cuban Market was the target of increasing interest of foreign entrepreneurs in 2013 despite the adverse international scenario that affects the island’s economy.

During the annual meeting of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, held this past week, the president of that entity Orlando Hernandez recalled the signing last year of eighteen collaboration accords with other chambers of commerce.

Commercial missions from sixty one countries came to Cuba to meet working agendas that contributed to the development of commercial relations. Add to this, the participation of so many companies at Havana’s International Trade Fair, Hernandez pointed out.

In 2013, Frequent visits were carried out by business people from China, Spain, Italy, Germany and Russia, who attended business forums, workshops and other working meetings that promoted Cuban exports products and foreign investment plans.

The Cuban Chamber of Commerce has 678 associated enterprises.
