Havana, August 4 (RHC) -- Cuban health authorities reported on Wednesday the death in the last hours of 98 people due to complications with Covid-19, the highest number of deaths in one day during the entire pandemic in the country.
Likewise, 9363 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed.
The Caribbean country accumulates 422,614 people diagnosed with this coronavirus since March 11, 2020, and 3,091 deaths.
In a televised conference, the national chief of Epidemiology, Francisco Durán, pointed out that 46,113 confirmed patients remain hospitalized in health institutions or at home.
Havana reported 1445 cases. It was followed by Ciego de Avila and Cienfuegos, with the most cases.
