Havana, June 25 (RHC) – Denzil Llewellyn Douglas, Prime Minister of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, said in Havana that he admired Cuba’s achievements and pledged to strengthen relations between the two countries.
We're proud of what Cuba has done and we'll have lawyers and spokespersons in the rest of the world to show its achievements, stated the prime minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis at the Jose Marti Memorial in Havana's Revolution Square, after paying tribute to Cuba's National Hero.
He asserted that the bonds between the two states have brought benefits for that small Caribbean nation, in fields like higher education, health and agriculture.
Cuba is part of the Caribbean and we're part of the area's historic relations with Cuba, said Douglas, who is also his country’s Minister of Finances, Sustainable Development, Development of Human Resources, Social Empowerment and Social Security.
Accompanied by Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra, the visitor toured the halls of the Memorial, where he received an explanation about the life and work of the Cuban hero of the island’s struggle for independence.
After his arrival in Havana Monday on an official visit, the 61 year-old head of state has carried out visits to places of interest and meetings with top Cuban authorities.
On Wednesday, Douglas officially inaugurated his country’s diplomatic mission in Havana and tomorrow, Thursday, he will wrap up his visit.
