Cuba reports  9320 new COVID-19 cases and 74  deaths

Havana, August 23 (RHC)—Cuban authorities announced 9320 new infections of COVID-19  and 74 deaths over the last 24 hours.

The Caribbean island now accumulates 592 619 cases and 4618 fatalities since March last year.

As of midnight, there were 49 901 active patients hospitalized.

The provinces with the most cases were Pinar del Rio with 2042, Cienfuegos 1397, and Havana with  900.

    The death rate is still under 0.8% (less than 1%). Cuba must be doing something right. It is no wonder Cuba has a higher life expectancy than the Empire!
