Havana, Sep 15 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, received Gail Walker, Executive Director of the Interreligious Foundation for Community Organization (IFCO)/Pastors for Peace.
In a friendly exchange, Gail Walker informed of the decision to organize again this year the US-Cuba Friendship Caravan, whose participants will continue to express their unwavering solidarity with the Cuban people in the face of the aggressive actions of the US government.
The visitor reiterated her admiration for the work carried out by Cuba in the battle against COVID-19 and the important results in the vaccination process.
Also participating in the meeting were Samira Addrey, executive member of the organization and graduate of the Latin American School of Medicine, as well as Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party; Caridad Diego Bello, head of the Office of Attention to Religious Affairs, and Noemí Rabaza Fernández, first vice-president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples.
