Havana, October 5 (RHC)-- Cuba reported on Tuesday 4,793 new positive cases of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and 45 deaths due to complications associated with the disease.
In a televised briefing, the head of National Epidemiology, Francisco Durán, said that the country now accumulates 900,512 cases and 7,663 fatalities.
He pointed out that 22,293 active cases remain hospitalized.
For the fourth consecutive day, the country maintains a decreasing trend, he noted.
The province of Pinar del Río, in the west of the island, still reports more than 1,000 diagnosed cases a day.
