Washington, July 8 (RHC) – The 25th U.S.-Cuba Pastors for Peace Friendshipment Caravan is expected to reach Cuba this month after touring 65 Canadian and U.S. cities.
The humanitarian cargo will include four vehicles, medical supplies which are difficult to purchase by the island due to the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade.
The co-director of Pastors for Peace, Gail Walker, told reporters that she was happy to tell U.S. authorities that the world rejects their unfair, immoral policy against Cuba.
This year the caravan will be dedicated to Cuban youth and the caravanistas will participate in July 26th commemorations. They will also lay a wreath at the plaque commemorating the founder of the caravans, Reverend Lucius Walker, Jr., at the Anti-Imperialist Tribune on the Malecon, Havana’s seafront drive.
According to the program, the caravan is traveling through U.S. from July 7th through the 18th. The caravanistas will cross the Mexican border on July 23rd and travel to Cuba on the 24th. The activists will be on the island from July 25th through August 2nd.
