Havana, December 16 (RHC)--Delegates from Cuba and Hungary held talks on Wednesday to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the agri-food and hydraulic sectors.

According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry's website Cubaminrex, the meeting was held between the Cuban Ministry of Agriculture, the Cuban National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INRH), and the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture at the Hungexpo venue, where the Budapest 2021 Planet Sustainability Summit is taking place.

Cubaminrex said that both delegations signed a memorandum of collaboration in the agricultural sphere to stimulate food development; in addition, the parties agreed that there are many points in common between Cuba and Hungary, which makes the exchange and strengthening of relations in the sector favorable.

A Memorandum of Collaboration in the hydraulic sphere in both countries was also signed. The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry donated 100 thousand face masks on behalf of his government so that the Cuban people may continue their fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cubaminrex reports that the Cuban delegation was headed by Antonio Rodríguez, Minister-President of the INRH, and also included Mauri Echavarría, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, who exchanged with his counterpart, the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjato.
