Summing up the meeting, the CEPM director noted that "there was an exchange of information on approaches to regulation and rules for registration of drugs and medical devices, including in the conditions of COVID-19. In particular, Cuban colleagues were interested in the registration and management of drugs and medical devices in accordance with national rules and the rules of the Eurasian Economic Union.
One of the main tasks of the healthcare system is to provide affordable and high-quality medical products to the citizens of our country, and I am sure that interaction in these areas will contribute to the mutual saturation of medical products in the markets of both countries."
At the meeting, Juan Valdés Figueroa shared information on advances in vaccine development, including for the prevention of coronavirus infection with the Cuban Abdala and Soberana vaccines, as well as opportunities for the Cuban pharmaceutical industry in general.
