Minsk, February 24 (RHC)-- The general director of Belarus' Great Stone Industrial Park, Alexander Yaroshenko, received in Minsk his counterpart from Cuba's Mariel Special Development Zone (ZEDM), Ana Teresa Igarza, to discuss the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
According to Prensa Latina news agency, both parties exchanged experiences and discussed investment promotion. According to Havana's ambassador in Minsk, Juan Valdés, the previous virtual meetings yielded results, especially the videoconference in which the memorandum of collaboration between the parties was signed.
He explained that the deepening of ties would continue with the visit to the Caribbean nation of the executives of the Great Stone Industrial Park and the progress of negotiations on new possible joint projects between the two economic zones.
During its stay in Belarus, the Cuban delegation was received by the vice-president of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Valery Mitskevich. They also visited important industrial and productive centers, such as companies producing electric buses, MAZ trucks, and tractors.
They also visited plants manufacturing agricultural implements, refrigeration equipment, kitchens, and dairy and agri-food products.
