Havana, June 10 (RHC)-- The Cuban Economy Ministry approved 108 new Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs).
With this update, some 3 600 such enterprises are already operating island-wide, employing over.
According to Economy Ministry statistics, 50 percent of the new MSMEs are related to the manufacturing and construction sectors. Over 25 percent of all private companies employ young Cubans below 35.
This figure is in tune with the government’s willingness to encourage young people to build their life projects on the island.
