Havana, August 2 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel said Tuesday that his country and China would continue to strengthen historic relations of friendship and cooperation.
On Twitter, the President also said that the Asian giant will follow "the path of peaceful development and will always be a builder of world peace".
Diaz-Canel referred to what was expressed Monday by Beijing's ambassador in Havana Ma Hui during an event on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the People's Liberation Army of the Asian country.
At the celebration, which on the Cuban side was presided over by the Vice President of the Republic, Salvador Valdés Mesa, and by the Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, Army Corps General Álvaro López Miera, the Chinese diplomat also highlighted the ties between the two countries.
In this regard, he stressed that "we will work together to promote relations between the two armies in the new stage; we will continue cooperation in various fields and face global challenges hand in hand, to make due contribution to the joint construction of a community of destinies of mankind."
