United Nations, Sep 24 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez held a meeting on Saturday with the new president of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, Csaba Kőrösi, whom he congratulated on his election and wished success.
The top representative of Cuban diplomacy assured Kőrösi that from the presidency of the G77 plus China, the Caribbean Island will be a proactive interlocutor in the defense, purposes, and principles of the UN Charter, as well as a promoter of cooperation and solidarity in the face of current challenges.
Rodriguez also met with his counterparts from Belize, Mexico, and Iraq and discussed issues of mutual interest.
During the meeting with Eamon Courtenay, his Belizean counterpart, both foreign ministers expressed satisfaction with the good state of bilateral relations and reiterated the willingness to strengthen economic ties and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest. (Source: PL)
