Havana, Oct 28 (RHC) The III Round of Migratory Talks between Cuba and Uruguay concluded Friday in Montevideo, the capital of the South American nation, with the commitment to guarantee regular, orderly, and safe migration.

The director general of Consular Affairs and Attention to Cuban Residents Abroad of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Ernesto Soberón Guzmán, informed on Twitter that during the meeting the Minutes Resulting was signed and the behavior of the migratory flow between both countries was evaluated, in a cordial and cooperative atmosphere.

The embassy of the Island in Uruguay indicated on the same social network that the Government of Cuba expressed its citizens’ right to travel, emigrate and return, by the requirements of its migration law.

Both parties emphasized the importance of this type of meeting and expressed their willingness to strengthen the operational and comprehensive mechanisms of bilateral collaboration in the migratory and consular fields, as well as in the fight against phenomena such as human trafficking and the illegal smuggling of migrants.
