Havana, August 7 (RHC) -– The Cuban Young Communist League (UJC) condemned the use of Latin American youth in a project by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), aimed at subverting social order in the country.
The Cuban youth organization's statement comes after recent revelations by the U.S. news agency Associated Press detailed new actions of the U.S. government, organized and financed through USAID, that secretly sent Latin American youths with plans to stir popular dissent against the Cuban government.
The organization said: “We, Cuban Young Communists, reject and condemn those maneuvers and reiterate our firmness against all attempts by the empire to unleash its dirty war against our nation.”
According to accusations, the youth sent by USAID, using a civic health program as cover, carried out actions to promote political destabilization, especially aimed at young people.
