Havana, August 13 (RHC) -– The United Nations Cuban Association (ACNU) condemned on Tuesday the subversive plans organized and financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) against Cuba.

That unscrupulous, aggressive, double-standard policy of the U.S. government violates once again the basic principles and purposes included in the UN Charter, points out the declaration issued by the entity.

The text adds that, with that purpose, it has organized and funded new subversive maneuvers against Cuba by way of USAID, with the objective of interfering in the internal affairs of a sovereign state and the hope to undermine the right to self-determination of a people to choose its own political, economic and social system.

These actions were aimed at manipulating youth and identifying in that sector potential political leaders it could recruit to act against the legitimate government.

ACNU demands the U.S. government the immediate cessation of these actions that are part of its non-declared war against the Caribbean nation, of the implementation of the criminal Helms-Burton Law, and the criminal economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed on the island for over half a century now.
