Havana, August 13 (RHC)-- Celebrations are taking place in a number of countries around the world, as Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro –- an example and guide for revolutionaries internationally -– celebrates his 88th birthday.
The House of Friendship with Cuba in Buenos Aires, Argentina, celebrates the event with a massive activity and displaying of a documentary about the life and work of Fidel Castro. Participants are reaffirming their solidarity with the Caribbean nation and the struggle for the freedom of the Cuban anti-terrorists held unfairly in U.S. prisons.
A mass ceremony is taking place in Bolivia to honor the 88th birthday of the Cuban leader. Various activities are being held in Quito, Ecuador, such as the presentation of the book Humanity's Right to Exist and the screening of a documentary depicting the environmentalist thinking of the Cuban leader.
Nicaragua also sent greetings to Fidel Castro for his birthday in a letter signed by President Daniel Ortega and Communications and Citizenship Counsel Coordinator Rosario Murillo.
