Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez sent condolences to the people and government of Nepal following the tragic plane crash.

Havana, Jan 16 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez sent condolences to the people and government of Nepal for the tragic plane crash that occurred in that country, near the city of Pokhara.

 

Through his Twitter account, the Cuban foreign minister conveyed his feeling of sorrow and solidarity to the families and relatives of the victims.

Nepalese authorities reported the death of at least 68 passengers out of the 72 on board the aircraft.

 

There were 72 passengers and crew aboard the Yeti Airlines flight from Kathmandu to the tourist town of Pokhara which crushed on Sunday.

 

Nepal has suffered 67 plane crashes in the last 60 years, the most recent occurred in May 2022 when a Tara Air plane crashed in northern Nepal, killing 22 people. (Source: Prensa Latina)
