The initiative to create private kindergartens is gaining momentum

Havana, January 17 (RHC) The initiative to create private kindergartens is gaining momentum and the country already has 60 of these institutions, which serve more than 1,900 children.

In a meeting with the press, Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella, Minister of Education, said that this way attention to early childhood has increased.

She specified that the country does not have enough kindergartens to meet the existing demand, and detailed that there are 42,000 pending requests from working mothers that have not been satisfied.

This option for the care of children must be requested to the Ministry of Education (Mined) by the management of the labor center to solve the situation of its workers, and is covered by Resolution 58/2021, which regulates the opening and operation of such institutions.

The funds for its opening, maintenance, and sustainability must be provided by the center, which is also responsible for the selection of the premises, furniture, and resources required. Likewise, it will ensure that no significant differences are generated with what is taught in the kindergartens.

For its part, the Ministry of Education guarantees school supplies, as well as educational attention to children, with educators and teaching assistants, who graduated in the Early Childhood specialty (Source: JR).
